The Benefits of Candles

The sheer act of lighting a candle, its lovely flicker, and the gentle glow helps to create a peaceful setting and helps to ease and soothe the mind.

How do I make the Candles?

From melting wax to trimming the wick, I show you how I take my ideas through to the completed product, all made by hand.

  • Step 1: Melting the Wax

  • I empty the measured wax into a heating pot and add the fragrance.

  • Step 2: Prepare the Glasses

  • I attach wicks to the bottom of the glasses, making sure they're placed firmly in the centre of each glass.

  • Step 3: Pouring

  • Once all the ingredients are mixed, it is time to pour the wax. I slowly pour the wax into the candle glasses leaving 1 cm from the top.

  • Step 4: Setting

  • I add wick sticks to each candle to ensure the wicks stay in the centre and then allow the candles to cool at room temperature and set overnight.

  • Step 5: Box up the Candles

  • Once the wax has set I then trim the wick and box up the candle.

  • Step 6: Complete

  • The candle is then ready to be sent to my lovely customers!
